### Description:
The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for social media management for a group of Boyd Gaming properties, as well as applicable restaurants, arenas, and events centers. Property assignments are fluid and subject to change, but usually include 3-5 properties and their venues.
This person will be the liaison between the digital marketing team at our corporate headquarters and the on-site marketing teams. He or she will work creatively to improve engagement, increase followers, and create business leads. Boyd Gaming views each of its restaurants, arena and sister properties as customers, so this person must have excellent customer service skills to be a successful liaison for our venues. This is a 24/7 role that requires evening and weekend attendance at events, as well as emergency support.
* Collaborate with on-site leadership to formulate strategies, content ideas, and promotions
* Collaborate with the corporate digital media & social engagement team to establish KPIs, best practices, content calendars, and advertising calendars
* Measure and report performance of all digital media campaigns, advertising campaigns, and company reviews to the marketing leadership at each property and the regional marketing director
* Partner with the marketing team at corporate headquarters to collaborate on holistic campaigns for email, websites, billboards, magazines, and other related tasks
* Identify trends and insights to create actionable recommendations for properties and venues
* Regularly visit each property assigned and establish strong relationships with the marketing teams to provide recommendations and assistance
* Identify UGC sources and encourage the usage of it at each property on digital screens and via other creative outlets
* Actively create social media calendars for each property that follow corporate best practices
* Actively create advertising recommendations and campaigns for social media
* Create content at each property utilizing video equipment
* Attend events and functions after typical business hours to provide social media support, including livestreaming and digital photography.
### Requirements:
* Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience
* Four (4) years of experience with online marketing, including social media management, reputation management, and online advertising
* Casino/travel industry experience a plus
* Must be detail-oriented
* Must have excellent communication and writing skills
* Experience with Spredfast, Hootsuite, Buffer, Revinate, TrustYou, Medallia, ReviewPro (and similar tools) is preferred
* Customer service experience preferred
* Up to 50% local travel required
* Access to reliable transportation required to meet schedule and unforeseen business needs
